Welcome To My Home Page
This
website is dedicated to introduce and promote my art work
in all its forms to you and your friends. It begins with
my paintings and will eventually include my writings, including
poetry, short stories, and books. There are eight galleries
for you to visit, which represent two distinct styles of
my art. Galleries one through four feature traditional
paintings, while galleries five through eight include my
more adventurous fine art. When you click on each
gallery, after the first painting appears, scroll down to
view more paintings before moving on to the next gallery.
Gallery
One, Two, Three, and Four feature what I would call traditional paintings. They are traditional in subject matter. For example: still
life, florals, landscapes, and cityscapes. There is a strong
European influence, often resembling impressionism. However,
the strong color shows an expressionist persuasion. They
are designer, or decorative works of art. They are commercial
in that they have a wide
and acceptable appeal with designers, galleries and their
clients. Their composition ensures that they are of lasting
and substantial value in that you may enjoy them for years. They are all oil on canvas. They are a small representation
of this type of work that I have done over the years. Each
painting is numbered for reference.
Gallery Five, Six, Seven, and Eight present another side of my work that no fine
arts collector would want to miss. They are oil paintings
and some oil pastel drawings. Here you will find surrealism,
abstract expressionism, some bordering on cubism, a portrayal
of the masks we all wear. Some will make you laugh and others
will intrigue you. There’s no one label that will
embrace them all. But they are under
one umbrella and in the same family. They are a tragic and
comic release that we all experience in life. These paintings
are very colorful, and full of emotion representing the
naked truth of our characters as human beings. The proof
is in the viewing. Please be my guest.
When
I was 12 years old, I started writing, and progressively
went from poems, lyrics, short stories, and books. I have
three copyrighted short books of poetry, two short stories
and more involved writing projects in the works. All of
which would be of interest to anyone wanting to know more
about the artist behind the painting. Visit my
Poetry page, which is in the early
stages of construction. Many of the poems have
illustrations.
I hope
you will enjoy my Galleries. If you have questions or comments
